Been working constantly on this series the discipline of a SERIES. Have been painting more and more transparencies in each painting. The point is to push experimenting in each canvas. To paint new possibilities and not worry about the rules of Art. Ending up creating some really interesting painting in Oils.

"Star Energy Dancing" is #3 of a series called "CNS Crab Nebula Series" a continuing of the series.Oil on canvas finished in 04.01.2010 . Painted Edges.
The next in the series on the easel #6 and 7
The inspiration for this was the Crab Nebula picture off the Hubble Space Telescope.

My Art starts with an idea; for example sunsets, inspired by “Claude Monet Sunrise 1872” I did my own sunsets from 1979 to 1990s. I may start them again. My Art style has evolved from Impressionism, Post cubism, and Abstract Expressionism. I have always liked Van Gogh’s colors and his passions on canvas and of course my Father, Edwin Mieczkowski, which I had received vast amounts of training and experience as I worked on his paintings.

My Art style has evolved from Impressionism, Abstract Expressionism and Synthetic Cubism on the painterly side. Inspired by Mondriaan’s tree of 1910-11, I started the GTS series abstracting trees geometrically in early 1973 in high school and have ever since until now developing in synthetic cubism on the painterly side.

How can a painter answer all the questions in one painting hence painting in series; one painting is not enough to study a subject and or composition, colors in depth. Now I’m linking the series of paintings starting an idea in one, developing it in the next, and really studying the original idea. This is what I call painting a series.

Exploring how impressionist mixed colour on the canvas not the palette. In other words letting the eye mix the colour and studying the effects of light has been inspiration until now. I explore color, shapes, and compositions and the relationship of them with in the canvas. I’m increasing the energy and color of my paintings.

My long time interest in the vastness of space came as a subject for painting enhanced by the photos coming from the Hubble Space Telescope. These awe inspiring sights show new shapes and activities to be captured in oils on canvas. Star Quasar and Solar Nebula Series are the results in 15 paintings since 2008
Showing at the gallery in March Thru December 2010

Have been reading New York Painting and Sculpture 1940-1970. A question came up about answering all the questions in a painting. If an Artist thinks he or she can answer all the questions in 1 painting alone. I think that is very difficult, As such I do a series of paintings addressing all the questions about a subject or non subject of the painting. Even then can one answer all the questions.
?
"GTS 8 Crimson Dawn" is the Continuing of the series "Geometric Tree Series". Oil on canvas.Painted 1.5" Edges,A very Dynamic painting to acquire for your collection. COA is in the works. GTS#10 is on the easel.
